Food Glorious Food with Wynn

Good Sunday Morning to you all. Well it's my turn to choose a theme at CD Sunday......doesn't time fly!! I decided to choose Food Glorious Food.  I must have been thinking about my diet again when I chose this theme. I love my puddings so dieting is a challenge for me. But hopefully my theme won't be too challenging for you.

This is the card I made for the challenge.

Yes I know it's cupcake and I shouldn't be thinking of cupcakes on my diet!! But I couldn't resist this. It's from Makey Bakey Mice CD. Isn't this an adorable image. The elements and the sentiment are all from the same CD. The sentiment reads 'Special Delivery'. I've left the tag clear as I will be adding a name to it later. I plan to send it to one of my Post Pal children who is ill in hospital wishing I could send a real cupcake instead of a virtual one lol!!

The main purple card is from my card stock. The pink card also and I embossed it using my scoring board and scorer to make a diagonal pattern on it.
Think I might need to add a bit of sparkle to lift the image....mmmm not sure.

So that's my challenge this fortnight at CD Sunday. Hope you'll visit and check out other 'yummy' creations my teamies have made. Don't forget to use something from a CD even if it's just a small tag or piece of DP just so long as you say which CD you used.....easy peasy. I look forward to checking out all your 'yummy' creations too.
Have fun!!

Finally finishing it off with silver corner peel offs and ballet shoes and a peel off bow. The Happy Birthday is a white with rainbow effect peel off.
The challenge twist is to use ribbons but you don't have to do the twist to be with a chance of a fab prize from our sponsor.........

Bag and Tag

It's time for another challenge with Hilde and the Dragonflies. This time Hilde has challenged us to make a bag and tag. Our generous sponsor is......

Prize: $12 gift voucher to spend in the shop

I was lucky to play with a heart and butterfly digi which I placed on the tag. As you can see the bag is covered in flowers which were handmade using two different sized punches . I inked them up to get a colour that matched the bag. Then I spritzed them and scrunched them to give them shape. I added Hydrangea perfect peals to the centres.

I found the perfect colour 'Thank You' greeting in my stash and added this to the digi. I coloured the digi in my graphics programme to get a matching colour to the bag. I attached white ribbon and pearls to the tag to complete it.
The template for the bag came from one of my crafters....thank you Christine x. This will be a perfect bag for a gift for one of the young ladies in my group.

Now it's your turn.....but wait don't start yet..... you've got to pop over to Crafting with Dragonflies first to check out the wonderful bags and tags my teamies have created. You will be amazed.....they are wonderful. Oh and don't forget our sponsor Sammi Stamps there's some great digis in this shop.

Too Whit Too Whoooooo!

Good Morning bloggers hope things are good with you in blogland!!

Take a look at this adorable baby owl that Deanne has chosen as inspiration for (pin)spirational challenges this week.
How cute is this! Those eyes are so beautiful.

Sadly this will be my last post for the pinspirational team. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with Deanne and Team2. The photographs have been inspirational and Deanne is so well organised that it made it a pleasure and honour to design for this challenge blog. But all good things must come to an end and I felt my time was up!! I'll miss you all but I'll be popping over from time to time to keep an eye on you. So be good!!

Our sponsors for this week's challenge are :

                                                                 Prize: 3 digis

Prize: 3 digis

Prize: details later

I played with some cute owl digis from Stamp Art Design by Kathryn.

I made a pocket bookmark card for a friend who's an avid reader. I began with A4 card stock from my stash and folded it on two. I then added some pink card stock to the front. Then I made the pocket to hold the tag using the same pink card stock and then covered it with designer paper from Crelando the 'Romantic' range, which I bought from Lidls. The pocket was added using 3D foam strips. I also added a strip of the same paper down the right hand side. The bookmark is also pink card stock with a strip of the DP down the centre and I threaded a deep pink ribbon through the punched out hole at the top. The ribbon matched the colour of the birds on the DP perfectly.
I coloured the digis pink using my graphics programme and printed them out three times. These were then added to pink card squares and placed down the side. The "Owl Ways Yours" sentiment is also from Stamp Art Design and the background was coloured using Pergamano pencils.

So my card and gift are already to be posted later this month to my 'bookworm' friend.

Please try to pop over to (pin)spirational and check out what the rest of Team 2 have created. And don't forget our generous sponsors......you won't be disappointed with your visit!
Hope you're  having a lovely sunny week!!

Unstampabelles Midway

Where has this month gone!!
We are midway through the challenge "I could have danced all night" with Unstampabelles. There's a twist though but you don't have do the 'twist'.....pardon the pun..... to be in with a chance of winning.......it's to use some ribbon.....easy peasy!! Oh yes and one important rule you mustn't use digis or stamps. It is after all Unstampabelles  challenge blog!!

The sponsor is 'Flourish with a bling"

                                                                Prize: $15 voucher

I found a great image in my pictures folder on the PC of a couple jiving!! This brings back memories.... what about you?
I needed a small gift bag, to send a charm bracelet to my granddaughter, so this is what I made. I  added the dancers image to the front and then tied it up with some ribbon from my stash.

The template for the bag was from Katie Sue's Fabulous Giftware CD. I printed it directly on to card, after setting the printer to draft to give a softer colour which matched the outline of the image and the dancers.
I added a lovely blue flourish from 'Flourish with a bling', which Susan very kindly sent me......thank you Susan. I also added some of the same beads to the turquoise ribbon. And voila finished!!

There's some fab creations from my teamies over at Unstampabelles. So pour yourself a drink or have a cuppa and enjoy the trip over to unstampabelleschallenges....you will not be disappointed!! Oh and don't forget a visit to our sponsor will be worthwhile too. There are some fab goodies there and a challenge on their blog Flourish with a bling.....scrapbook-challenge.
So plenty going on to keep you out of mischief!!

Christine's "Kind and Caring Thoughts"

Good Sunday Morning to you. Well it's that time again for another fab challenge at CD Sunday. This fortnight Christine has chosen the lovely theme of  'Kind and Caring Thoughts'.

I really enjoyed my browse through my CDs to find something suitable. I came across many but finally chose one from Debbi Moore's Shabby Chic Vintage Rose. The verse, background paper and elements are all from this fab CD.

My craft group were to make a 'spinner' card so I took everything I'd printed off along to the class and this is what I created.

The sentiment spins around and there are more butterflies on the reverse. I have also added three matching gems at the bottom left and some handtied blue ribbon on the skewer.
I may ink up the wooden skewer but the colour at present does match the base card, so at the moment it stays in it's 'raw' state. The 'keepers' are large metal eyelets, as I couldn't find any beads with a large enough hole for the skewer to go through. One of my crafters has since given me some pretty blue ones, thank you Christine, so I may disassemble the mechanism and add them instead.

" May the wings of the butterfly
kiss the sun
and find your shoulder to light on
To bring you both
happiness and wishes
Today, tomorrow and beyond."

Irish Blessing

I hope you all enjoy browsing though your CD's as much as I did. I look forward to seeing the many 'Kind and Caring Thoughts' out there in blogland. My teamies over at CD Sunday have found some wonderful sentiments, so grab a cuppa and over you go to take a peep......you know you won't be disappointed. So many talented crafters!!

CAS with the Dragonflies

Well we are keeping it Clean and Simple over at the dragonflies. What a great challenge Hilde has set us. We are sponsored by Pickled Pot Pourri.

Prize: a $7 certificate to spend in the shop

I chose a cute penguin to play with. It's from a set of four. I used white card stock for base card and added a gold peel off greeting to one corner and coloured the penguins hat with a new gold metallic marker. The photograph is not the best as I had to take it with my phone camera as other sources of photography have decided to 'go on holiday'....as they do just when you need them grrrr technology!!!

It's a little lop sided too but I think it adds to the fun element!! So that's another addition to the Christmas card pile!!
I have found that when you get your head around CAS it is easy, just needs a little control which I don't always have. So don't over do it and it will turn out fine. Off you pop to Crafting with Dragonflies and see what the rest of my teamies have created using Pickled Pot Pourri images. Don't forget to visit this very generous sponsor.....you won't be disappointed.
I hope you are all having a lovely week and gentle hugs to the poorlies xx

Butterfly Butterfly!!

Good morning from a very, very hot and sticky Cyprus. We are melting here!!

Over at (pin)spirational Deanne has chosen a beautiful piccie to pinspire us. ( At least it will be just as soon as Deannes internet is sorted grrrr Think it's gone on holiday!!) In the meantime you can see the piccie here to inspire you.

Isn't this an awesome butterfly and the fabulous background of blue flowers. Makes you think of lazy sunny Summer days.

I was lucky to play with a beautiful digi from Aurora Wings.

I coloured the digi in a graphics programme and added it to dark blue card stock. The background paper was a recent purchase from our one and only craft shop which is currently selling off the last of the card and paper stock for 5cents a sheet....some bargains to be had but sadly they won't be stocking card making goodies any longer and concentrating only on knitting and sewing. So we will now be struggling to get anything at all here for card making. The ribbons is new and from one of my crafter buddies in my group.

I hope you can find time to pop over to (pin)sprational challenges to see what Deanne and the rest of the teamies have created. You won't be disappointed.

I could have danced all night!!!

Well maybe I could have danced all night many moons ago but not anymore!!! But this is our latest challenge over at Unstampabelles this month. Unstampabelles is a great challenge blog that asks you not to use stamps in your creations i.e. no digis or inked stamping please. Yes you can do it go on give it a go!!

The twist is 'Use some ribbon' but you don't have to, to be in with a chance of winning ......just don't use a stamp.

Our sponsor is Flourish with a Bling.

                                                                Prize: $15 voucher

This is my contribution.

I used white card stock for my base a Marianne window die and an image from Joanne Sheen CD 'Dancing with Shadows'. For the 'balcony I added a trellis die and a flourish of leaves plus some rolled handmade paper flowers. A skin toned ribbon strip was added under the trellis die cut.

My teamies have created some fab ideas for you. So off you pop to view them at Unstampabelles.

Have a fab crafty week. See you soon.
